We all know of love to one degree or another, but God's love is unique...

Where are We Going? »

Date posted: January 22, 2011

Consider these questions for a moment. They are three of the most vital questions you can ever ask concerning your life: Where are you going? Why are you going there? How will you know when you have gotten there?

Resolutions for You TODAY »

As we begin this New Year, we can learn from the shortest New Year’s resolution ever. This bold, yet broken, resolution was a resolution that did not even last the night it was made!...

Reflections for the New Year »

Happy New Year! As we enter the beginning of the new year, it is fitting for each of us to pause and reflect. Let me add to your reflections by looking at a song written by one of the few people more popular than Mick Jagger; by a man who is probably the most name recognized person in history apart from Jesus; by a man who knows what he is talking about...

Does Christmas Change Anything? »

Date posted: December 25, 2010

There is not a single day of the year that is more looked forward to, more anticipated, more anything, than Christmas day. However you look at it, there is the hope surrounding Christmas that things will be different, that things will change. Does it? Does Christmas change anything? And if it doesn't, then what, or who, does?

Put Off, Put On »

We need to learn to live out of what we are, instead of what we were. This involves being renewed in our mind; thinking in biblical ways. From a renewed heart, a heart that has been made new in Christ, comes renewed thinking – thinking that is developed and refined through learning more and more who and what we now are in Christ. From this renewed thinking comes renewed actions...

A Message for Thanksgiving »

Date posted: October 09, 2010

Many people see very little in their lives for which to be thankful. We forget that even just being alive and breathing right now, today, is a gracious and precious gift from God. On this weekend that we celebrate Thanksgiving, I want us to realize that thanksgiving with Jesus is not an abstract concept; and see how a song of sorrows, an ode of rejection, becomes a ballad of unspeakable joy...

Memories of a Holy Day »

Gut Yuntov! Greetings in this New Year. Today is Yom Kippur, the Day of the Covering, most commonly known as the the Day of Atonement. Today is the final day of the Ten Days of Awe that start at Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and end today, the Day of Atonement. For Jews around the world, Rosh Hashanah is the day when God writes some names into the Book of Life, and leaves some out. We then have the Ten Days of Awe to have some impact on God’s verdict of whether we have made it into the Book of Life, by making up for our sins that we committed during the past year. God’s final decision on this matter doesn’t take place until TODAY, Yom Kippur...

Kingdom Reality »

In the parable of the sower, Jesus is telling us something very important. He is not just talking about wheat or barley, but of something far more important. When Jesus is asked why He speaks in parables, He says, "This is why I speak in parables: 'Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.' In these parables is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.'" Here, Jesus is saying that there is an extraordinary reality in Kingdom work...

30 Years' Ministry - Part 2 »

Date posted: May 17, 2010

What did I know as a pastor 30 years ago? Well, I'll tell you what I didn't know. What I didn't know 30 years ago, was that what was ahead of me was going to be 30 years of battle. However, I should have known from the Scriptures that this is what was ahead of me. I came here for one purpose...
