Welcome to the Ottawa Reformed Presbyterian Church!

We have been ministering in Canada’s capital since our inception in 1980. Dr. Richard Ganz and his wife Nancy came to Ottawa May 6, 1980 to begin a missionary church plant. They stayed, and Dr. Ganz became the organizing pastor of the church. He continues to be our pastor to this day, over thirty years later. From our beginning as a new church plant, other churches have been planted. Our vision is to see Reformed Presbyterian churches planted “from sea to sea” (Psalm 72:8).

The Reformed Presbyterian Church is Christ centred, Spirit filled, Bible based, and Bible believing. It is zealously evangelical, yet committed to a thoroughgoing reformed theological world and life view. We believe that Jesus Christ is not only sovereign over His Church (Ephesians 1:22), but is also the Sovereign over all nations (Psalm 2:6,8). The Jesus we serve and worship is King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16).

Our worship is distinct. Join us for a time of worship that is uniquely based upon the Word of God in teaching, preaching, praying, and singing (John 4:24). Come and worship with us on the Lord’s Day (Hebrews 10:25) at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and find out how we do it. We hope you will be blessed along with us.

Catechism: Question 28

Q: Wherein consists Christ’s exaltation?

A: Christ’s exaltation consists in his rising again from the dead on the third day, in ascending up into heaven, in sitting at the right hand of God the Father, and in coming to judge the world at the last day.
